GENERAL RACE INFORMATION
Q: Where is the event?
A: The SJ5K is hosted at the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park at the Canton Varsity Football Field.
Q: What time does the event begin?
A: The annual ceremony honoring the recipient families will begin at 7:45 AM. Runners will be released after the ceremony around 8AM, followed by the walkers.
Q: Is this a timed race?
A: No, there is no official timing for the SJ5K. However, a clock will be at the start line and the finish line so people can track their time.
Q: How do I sign-up?
A: Register at www.sj5k.org
Q: What if I don’t want to run, but want to contribute some other way?
A: There are many ways you can support the SJ5K if they don’t want to run. See options to register, donate, or volunteer under the “Support” tab at the top of the screen.
Q: I registered, but made an error. How can I correct the mistake?
A: Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to troubleshoot the issue
Q: How do I register for a team?
A: The third step of registering allows you to select a team to join from a drop down list. Identify the team you’d like to join and follow the remaining steps of the registration prompts. If you already registered and want to join a team: Login to Enmotive and click “My Account”. Then click the green “Add Details” button and under Teams, select “Team to Join”. Please note that the team registration cutoff date was on April 28th.
Q: Where can I pick-up my packet?
A: There are three pick-up options including:
P-CEP Student Pick-Up: P-CEP Students are to pick up their packet(s) at Plymouth High School during lunch and after school during the week of April 30th - May 3rd in Room 401. Please note that this option is ONLY for students and staff member, NOT for the public.
Middle School Delivery: Packet distribution to middle schools will begin on Wednesday, May 1st at all district middle schools. plan to have a middle school student receive your bib and t-shirt at their school. Please note that this. Please note that this will ONLY be an option for registrants who secured this method of pick-up at the time of sign-up. The cutoff date for this option is April 22nd.
Public Pick-Up: Saturday, May 4th at Plymouth High School from 10AM - 4PM & Sunday, May 5th at P-CEP Varsity Stadium from 7AM - 7:45AM . All registrants are welcome to pick-up race materials at these times.
Q: Can someone else pick-up my packet for me?
A: Yes, the name of the registrant will just need to be provided at pick-up. It is the responsibility of the participant and the individual picking-up materials to exchange packets.
Q: Do I get a t-shirt with my registration?
A: All registrations confirmed by April 18th are guaranteed a participant t-shirt. Registrations after this date will receive a t-shirt based on remaining availability.
Q: Do I need to register my infant?
A: No, infants do not require registration to attend and participate.
Q: Do I have to bring a receipt/confirmation ticket to prove that I paid at check-in?
A: To expedite the process, please bring a copy of your confirmation ticket or have your confirmation email available on your phone at time of pick-up.
RACE DAY INFORMATION
Q: Where do I park for the event?
A: Parking is available at the following locations:
Participants can park in the Canton or Salem parking lots or the bus loop
Volunteers are urged to park in the Plymouth parking lot
Please note that the Plymouth HS parking lot will remain closed during the event and attendees cannot move their vehicles until after the event (around 10 AM)
In addition, the Salem HS student parking lot will remain closed during the event and attendees cannot move their vehicles until after all participants have finished the Joy Road portion of the course (around 9:15-9:30AM)
Q: Can I bring my dog to the race?
A: No, dogs are not allowed at the SJ5K.
Q: Can I bring a stroller to the race?
A: Yes, you can bring a stroller to the race.
Q: Where do I find my team on race day?
A: All teams of 15 people or more that were registered by April 28th have a designated team location in the bleachers at the varsity stadium. Volunteers will direct you to the correct location upon arrival!
